South Sea Pearl Necklace twinned with “intergrowth” of 18ct gold cubes.
Intergrowth is the term given where two forms grow together, attempting to occupy the same space and time. This concept has been the focus of a lot of my recent work. The natural perfection of the the pearls surface contrasts with the brutalist, man-made marks on the gold.
The Necklace is 48cm long
The Pearls are high quality cultured, natural aubergine coloured (purple and green overtones on a dark body colour) and graduate from 9.5 to 11mm round
The largest gold cube is 12mm and hollow fabricated, the clasp is hand made in the same 18ct
